π°What does catering for my event typically cost?
Our pricing is structured on a per-person basis, with the final investment based on guest count, menu selections, service style, staffing, rentals, and event location.
π‘How Bout the average cost of catering?
There really isn’t one true average because every event is different. Our menus typically start around $21 per person and can go up to $185+ per person for elevated private chef and steakhouse-style experiences.
π½οΈ What catering services are available?
We offer delivery catering, full-service buffet catering, family-style service, plated dinners, interactive stations, and in-home private chef experiences.
π§ΉWhat do you clean up after the event?
We clean up everything we provide. If we bring it, we clean it up and leave the space looking like we were never there.
π Do you travel for events?
Yes. We cater throughout Arizona, including Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Mesa, Glendale, Gilbert, Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott, Show Low, and select events in California and Nevada.
π Do you operate a restaurant or food truck?
No. Casey’s Catering & Events is a dedicated catering company focused exclusively on private events, weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
π Are tastings available?
Yes. Tastings before booking are $100. After booking, tastings are discounted to $50. Tastings include up to 5 menu options and are typically delivered in small sample containers for 2–4 guests. Tastings are usually available Monday through Thursday.
π How much space do you need to set up?
We can work in tight spaces, but ideally we prefer about 12 feet of table space and 3–4 feet behind the setup for equipment and service flow.
π©π³ My venue doesn’t have a kitchen. Can you still cater my event?
Yes. We are fully self-sufficient for most events and bring the equipment needed to execute service properly. A kitchen is not required for most catering setups.
π What is your rescheduling policy?
If your event needs to be rescheduled, your initial payment may be applied as a credit toward one future event within one year, based on availability. The rescheduled event must retain at least 80% of the original contracted value.
π How do I secure my date?
A 35% initial payment, referred to as the Date Charge, is required to secure your event date. Once processed, your date is reserved exclusively for your event. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the event.
π§π§π§ What if our guest count changes after booking?
You may reduce your guest count by up to 10% from the original booked amount. You can also increase your guest count as needed, with final adjustments due two weeks before the event.
π Our venue needs proof of insurance?
We are fully licensed and insured. If your venue needs a copy, we can sed it over close to when your event date approaches.
π½οΈ Do you provide tables, linens, plates, and rentals?
Full-service catering includes buffet tables, linens, chafing dishes, sternos, buffet service, and staff to help serve food, bus tables, and manage the flow of service. Most packages include high-end disposable plates and cutlery. Real dinnerware is available for $3.95 per person and includes a plate, fork, knife, and cloth napkin in black, white, or ivory.
π How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible since popular dates fill quickly. When availability allows, we can accommodate some events with as little as 36 hours’ notice.
π What are your minimums?
Wedding menus require a 25 guest minimum. Corporate menus require a 25 guest minimum. Private chef experiences are available for 2–4 guests with a $995 minimum.
π οΈ Can you handle large events over 200 people?
Yes. We cater events up to 2,000 guests and have experience serving large companies and organizations including Amazon, PayPal, and ASU.
π± Do you offer gluten-free and vegan options?
Yes. We can accommodate gluten-free, vegan, and other dietary requests. For smaller dietary counts, we typically prepare separate meals and keep them safely held until those guests come through the service line.
π©π³ Is staffing included?
Our menu prices are food-only unless otherwise stated. Professional staff is available for full-service events. Buffet full-service staffing is typically 20% of the invoice amount.
π Can menus be customized?
Yes. All menus are flexible and can be customized around your event. You can swap menu items, combine menus, or build a custom menu based on your preferences.
π Can leftovers be left behind?
Yes. Our staff can pack up leftovers and leave them in the kitchen, refrigerator, or another approved area on-site.
π₯ How do you keep food hot and fresh?
We use professional catering equipment, hot boxes, chafing dishes, sternos, and service timing protocols to maintain proper food temperature and quality throughout the event.
π₯ How much food do you provide per guest?
We carefully calculate portions based on the menu and guest count. Most meat options are portioned around 1/3 lb per option, and sides are typically portioned around 1/4 lb per option.
β How do you make sure food doesn’t run out?
Our staffed service approach helps control portions, manage the buffet flow, and ensure guests are served properly throughout the event.
